As a startup our major challenge is identifying milestones and creating tasks. However there's a requirement of proper task management/tracking. It will be great if the task can be assigned to someone with various priority levels, due date notification etc.

 

In order to make our CRM implementation a success we really want Zurmo to have such capability. We are experimenting with Sugar. But on the interface there's nothing sweet about it.

 

Zurmo seems to have the tasks capability but somehow tasks can't be created directly. Not a techy here. If the above kind of case/ticket management is already possible then pls guide. Awesome work on Zurmo!

We will have Cases in our Summer release: http://zurmo.org/roadmap. It has not been designed yet, but it will have task management and tracking. Come join our Dev Session tomorrow and let us know what you need it to have. We have Developer Sessions every Tuesday at 10:00AM Chicago Time (http://zurmo.org/for...arning-session/).

case feature is removed from roadmap??

Correct, we are focusing on improving existing functionality we have before starting new features.

i think task management/tracking, and due date notification is a most for a good CRM...

any update on this?

We added Cases to the roadmap (http://zurmo.org/roadmap). It will be available in our 3.0 release.

Also, we revamped Task Management: http://zurmo.org/fea...not-too-tedious. You can easily set up a workflow trigger to send an email alert if a Task is not completed by 'Due Date'.
