Wondering why you went with gpl instead of BSD or MIT?

We like the GPLv3 because it gives us flexibility later if we want to offer a commercial version of the application. Since we don't have any badge-ware requirements, as a downstream recipient you have a lot of flexibility as to what you can do with Zurmo.

Hmmm, I've seen a lot of code going from gpl to BSD to increase developer adoption.
Obvious risk involved for the main developer since they loose out some financial gain but in some ways that "loss" seems to be recouped through adoption and better bug, patch and code sharing from those who give back.
I've been contemplating a lot recently on the benefits of both and many have been bringing up problems with the direction how both of these licenses work together.
I might be wrong but BSD allows gpl while gpl prohibits BSD in opensource projects. Internally, doesn't matter it seems.
This issue is going to grow within the next 3 years.
