Hi
After spending far too many hours trying to get Zurmo installed and working I was still getting a "directory not writable" error for the runtime directory. I finally found the resolution and am putting it here so others don't spend hours on this. By default on centos boxes selinux is enabled and that will stop apache being able to write to disk. I'm not a fan of selinux so I just disabled it with
echo 0 > /selinux/enforce
That problem is now solved. Hope this helps others. Perhaps this should be in an FAQ.
