Error DB user: Connecting to 3.22, 3.23 & 4.0 servers is not supported

I have a dedicated server in 1and1 and my problem with installation is when i configure the DB (screenshot attached).

Any idea? Is possible configure manually db and username db?

Your mysql server version must be >= 5.0

I think you should contact support at 1and1 because that message is coming from your database server. They should be able to let you know more about it.

I think reason can be PHP version. Ca you run phpinfo, and tell us which PHP version are you using?

We are currently using PHP version 5.4.3.The biggest problem is that 1and1does not give much support.In fact we are evaluating the change of server.

Ok, you should consider servint.com. We use them and love them. Plus then it would be easy for you to configure the same way since that is what we are using here.
