What is exactly the customization hook? How can we use it to integrate extensions/customizations?

You are familiar with the zurmoZoo example where you are making an override to the CustomManagement. This is one of the customization hooks that allows you to add metadata as part of the installation or during upgrades. If you are trying to do afterSave, or beforeDelete type hooks, there is also a way to do this that is upgrade safe. Do you have any of those type of hooks you want to add? i can explain further then.
