In addition to items being "Recently Viewed" I think it would be a nice idea to be able to flag records in Zurmo as my favorite. This way, I could focus on certain key accounts for example.

To the same token, I am also thinking that we could have tagging possibilities in Zurmo.

What does everybody think?

I like the idea. Is it more about being able to rank records (1 star vs. 4 stars) or just having a "favorite" category of record? I have seen other CRMs that have a Star Rater where you can give a 1-4 ranking. I have also seen tagging mechanisms where you can associate characteristics with the record (like "location" which branches to "USA" then "East Coast" then "Boston"). Both scenarios would be nice feature requests.

Initially, the idea is that I as an account manager, could mark/flag certain accounts or opportunities as my 'favorite'. If we could then have these ones shown as a specific view or on top of a list, I can focus on these key records. Of course, I would need to have the option of deselecting them...

We can then also give game points to the use of favorites...

What about also put a 'follow' feature in Zurmo? (Same as in Salesforce). I as a an account manager am interested in an opportunity my fellow account manager is owning.

OK, I see now. Yes, tagging a record as a favorite or giving it some kind of preferred value should be fairly straightforward. You could have your "favorite" or "tagged" accounts always given priority to appear at the top of a list view. I like that.

The "follow" feature is very similar to Salesforce's Chatter feature and I know exactly what you are talking about. You can follow a record (Account, Contact, Opportunity, etc.) and then get a feed for whenever someone updates or changes something on the record. You can also have a threaded conversation regarding a record and better collaborate in the CRM. Right now, we are designing a "Conversations" feature that is somewhat similar. When we get further along, I'd like to show you and get your feedback.

Both ideas are very useful, the "my favourites" features will allow to access very quickly to the most important records. And the idea of raysto for tagging the records based on list of values (region) will allow to classify records witouth having to add extra custom fields, I would love to see both implemented.
