Just another idea for gamification. We could implement also a feature in Zurmo that tracks the completeness of a record (Account/Opprtunity). The more key fields are populated by the end-user the better it is. And could win more game points! We could display also a progress bar for that Opportunity ("You have completed Opportunity X 65%").

Subsequently we can help the user in completing its records by giving tips how to complete. For example: "Do you know you can reach 75% of Opportunity X just by adding a meeting to this opportunity?". More points to gain this way...

Just some idea I had last night....:)

Good thinking. We have thought about this too as something we can do to encourage people to enter all the data about a record. Thanks for posting this!

I like the way LinkedIn shows how complete your profile is. Maybe we can have something like this for how complete a record is or how far along an Opportunity is:

Yes, I was thinking about the same.

I like this idea too. This has great psychology. When I signed up for SendGrid (smtp delivery service) it had a startup wizard that took you through all the steps to setup your account. If you did not complete the process, then when you signed on next time, it would show a dialog box with 5 green checks and a big red X on the step I had not done. I hated seeing this and finally set it just so I'd feel whole.

Absolutely. In my current company we are implementing a new CRM system and one of the biggest hurdles in user adoption is data quality. Although data quality is not attributable to the software itself, users are resistant in using a new solution if the data is bad. I therefore believe that if technology can help and assist users in keeping their data tidy, adoption is much higher.

We have cool ideas around using gamification to improve data quality.
