Why YII and RedBean are not in the repository?
Since you need to run with a particular version of both (and RedBean needs to be patched too), why don't you put them directly in the repository? This way, every time you need to update the framework, you do it once for everybody, you shorten the development installation guide and you don't risk to have different framework versions between developers.
Cheers!

Thanks for the input. We wanted to keep the repository clean and just have Zurmo specific code. The production download does include Yii and Redbean with it. Also our development guide does have easy instructions to download the correct Yii/Redbean.Hi all,

But you bring up an interesting idea we will need to consider.
Thanks,

I'm not sure if you saw this, but we recently implemented your request:http://zurmo.org/for...dbeanphp-files/. Thank you again for the idea and because of this recommendation everyone will have an easier time installing Zurmo. Thanks!

This means that the step 5 of the installation guide for development is not needed anymore?

Yii and RedBean are added to default branch of Zurmo repository(bleeding), and after we tag new stable version, we will modify the article.
