I've had no success importing accounts. I keep getting an error stating, "A file must be uploaded in order to continue the import process."

I've chosen the file I want to upload. I don't see an explicit upload button so I click next. Then I get the error message. Any ideas?

I see where you are getting the error. You need to click on the yellow area in the screenshot below in order to browse your computer and upload the file. It is a little tricky because your cursor may not appear clickable so you probably did not know you needed to click there. That is something we may need to improve in the UI so that it is more obvious.

I didn't have any problem finding how to browse to the folder to get the file I wanted to upload. As you can see in the screen shot, I've selected the csv file. I just noticed the 1KB upload limit. Where is that coming from?

It appears that a server side setting needs to be adjusted. It is either in the php.ini or potentially a setting in mysql that is limiting the size. I would first look at php.ini.

I've looked at php.ini and everywhere else I could thing of. I don't see where the account import size is limited to 1kb. Can anyone help out? This is a pretty serious issue, anyone importing accounts would have a cvs larger than 1kb!

Okay, /etc/my.cnf was set to 20. Changed that to 25M and now the file uploads.

Problem 1 solved, but now after the uploads I get, "internal server error"

Yuck! You should check out the php error log on the box, you can ask dotblock too for help on that, because it should show what the specific error that is causing it. then you can send that over here on the forums.
