Wikipedia has a page on CRM that is a good beginning point to understand the industry that Zurmo is situated in.

Good point Peter. Having a solid grasp of CRM fundamentals will help you understand Zurmo in general. Wikipedia does a good job of summarizing things.Along the way I realized I need to know more about what CRM - Customer Relationship Management, is about in general.
