Hi People, I currently work in a small but growing copmany and Zurmo sounds like the perfect CRM. Simple, but exactly the things I need to use!

I now downloaded it on my Mac OSX (10.8.4) with Apache 2.2.22 and PHP 5.5.3. I simply copied the extracted folder to my Sites folder and in the browser went to http://localhost/~kr...o/app/index.php which unfortunately leads to the following errors:

Warning: include(SecurableModule.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /Users/kramer/Sites/zurmo/yii/framework/YiiBase.php on line 421

Warning: include(): Failed opening 'SecurableModule.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/Users/kramer/Sites/zurmo/app/protected/extensions/phaActiveColumn:/Users/kramer/Sites/zurmo/app/protected/modules/api/tests/unit/forms:/Users/kramer/Sites/zurmo/app/protected/modules/api/tests/unit/models:/usr/local/Cellar/php55/5.5.3/lib/php') in /Users/kramer/Sites/zurmo/yii/framework/YiiBase.php on line 421

Fatal error: Class 'SecurableModule' not found in /Users/kramer/Sites/zurmo/app/protected/modules/zurmo/ZurmoModule.php on line 38

So I chmodded (and created where needed) all files in the following list to 777, but the same errors remain.

  • app/protected/config/debug.php (may not exist)
  • app/version.php
  • app/protected/config/perInstance.php
  • app/assets/
  • app/protected/data/
  • app/protected/runtime/

Does anybody know what I can do to solve this issue?

Yes, I've seen that post. That is why I changed all those folders to 777. But that of course doesn't include all files and folders in zurmo. So I just tried to change the ownership of the zurmo folder using:

chown -R root:apache zurmo

Unfortunately this gets me the following error:

chown: apache: illegal group name

Would you have any other ideas?

If you are having a hard time installing, there are a few VM choices for installation in case this is easier:

http://bitnami.org/stack/zurmo

http://softaculous.c.../apps/erp/Zurmo
http://www.softaculo.../apps/erp/Zurmo

http://installatron.com/zurmo

http://www.turnkeylinux.org/zurmo

Otherwise, we can provide you a hosted trial instance for testing: http://zurmo.com/free-trial

I just installed the bitami stack and that works like a charm!

Awesome, thanks for the tip!
