We have great flexibility in adding custom fields to contacts, leads, tasks, etc., but I don't see any way to add fields easily to the User section. Basically, I want to add their Employee # to the database, and I see that we have profile photo coming soon (which is awesome). But what if I want to add someone's Social Feed or their bio? Is there some reason we didn't make the user model extensible like the others? I noticed that their was also no view to customize for edit/details for the user either. Just asking.
Can a field be added to the user with metadata, like we can with contacts?

Jim,
Users are a bit more sensitive since they are connected with Groups and Roles and various other pieces in the application. You can however add fields in the metadata as needed to users just like any other model. So even though it doesn't show up in designer it still has the same flexibility to customize.
it has a separate views instead of just one edit/details because it has some different things on create such as new password which do not show up on the edit screen.
