I've been trying to solve this problem, but with no luck.

There is a hierarchy of users and each level should be able to see all theirs records and records of their subordinates.

Lets say I work with Opportunities.

I have Division1, Division2, Each having 1 or 2 subdivisions. User can be member of one of those sub-divisions. Divisions are set as groups.

Now, I have user1, user2, each having boss1, member of Division1. User 1 is member of sub-division1.1, user2 member of sub-division1.2. User1 and user2 should be owners of their Opportunities and see only theirs, boss1 should see both.

Then there is similar setting for Division 2, 2 users, boss2. Boss 2 should not see what boss 1 sees.

I tried to set group right to owner, record visibility to owner and group division 1 (or 2). Then only owners see their records. Or I can set the group rights to all, but then the group sees Division1 and Division2 records.

Maybe I should mention that there are roles set as Boss->User, users have role User, boss has role Boss ;) I tried to set manager, but I think that didn't help.

Hope the setting is clear, if not, I'll draw a schema.

Many thanks for help.
