Hi. Here's what I found.

 

Roles

-------

 

Master (1 users)

|

|--->Submaster (no users)

       |

       |---> Slave (1 user)

 

 

Groups

----------

Area1

|

|

Area2 --> (1 user with role Slave)

 

 

Now edit an Account record and set Rights and Permissions to Owner and users in Area2

 

If you login user with Master role and try to see Account List you'll see a render error.

The cause is that Submaster role has no user.

Hello makro,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Upon further testing, I have determined that this issue is resulting due to the fact that there is a middle role with 0 users (group security did not seem to be a factor in the error). This produces errors for any users in higher up roles.

Once I added a user to the middle role, I had to clear the cache for the user experiencing problems (by adding ?clearCache=1 to the end of the url), but then the issue was resolved.

I have created an internal ticket for this bug to be fixed in a later release.  You can track the progress here.
