Hi,Jason and Zurmo

I wanner have a utility tool just like Gii of yii which can generate custom modules files.

unfortunately, I can not extend or demo custom module named "HelloWold" in the zurmo.

U know, there is a approach to custom zurmo http://zurmo.org/wik...g-zurmocontacts, but
it did not descript how to creat module clear.

In other words, It is so difficult to genereate standard files manual including Model, View And Controller...

Is there a effective way to reality my goal?

Holyxing,
We currently do not have a Gii like tool. However this is a great idea.We will add this to our roadmap.
Did you try to checkout the following repo:

http://hg.zurmo.org/zurmozoo/overview

it has an example custom module that you can see how it is created.

I like the idea too. In a previous Yii project I created my own Gii generators using also the base class / superclass principle. It worked great and would like to see it in Zurmo too.

I added a story in pivotal tracker for this:
https://www.pivotalt...y/show/25259961

There are many things we have to consider in order to build this. Primarily I am trying to avoid a situation where the application directory gets modified. Currently all modifications during production are to the database including the storage of any attachments. This makes scaling the appplication much easier and upgrades to be easier too.

We can build a tool like Gii, but we would have to restrict it to be used only in development mode and not by end users. This would be phase 1.

I will also create a google doc for documenting the design as well as other issues/concerns.
