#15052 Custom Fields mapped to users, contacts or accounts

Posted by Jason on 19 October 2014 - 08:03 PM

Just to confirm, you are trying to do a user lookup field as an extra field in meetings?  This would require a little bit of custom work but could be done and could also be completed upgrade safe.

#14609 Super User Switcher won't show up

Posted by Jason on 11 August 2014 - 03:46 PM

The super user that you are logged in must be the 'root' user.  Utilize the ElevateCommand from the command line to elevate the root user.

I appreciate your feedback.  The reason we refer people to the developer session is an easy way to aggregate everyone's questions and help everyone at once during the week.  We have limited resources so we need to be as efficient as possible.  I am glad you like Zurmo and are interested in using it.

It is also good to see you are interested in being part of the community.  It would be great if you can help add additional documentation and organize additional community resources to assist with that as well.  We do need more and better documentation, but again, we do what we can with our given resources.

#12410 Errors when importing custom module

Posted by Jason on 31 December 2013 - 04:14 PM

A. I dont see any mention of the shortcut menu in AnimalsModule.php so that won't show up

B. Regarding the left side menu, if you reinstall with your new custom code, does it show up?

C. Regarding what you added to common.php, you said you put agents, which is different than the animals module

#6967 Create new Task

Posted by Jason on 05 July 2013 - 05:39 PM

With our new work on expanding tasks and building projects, we are going to add the ability to make tasks from the 'create' menu. I would also like to do this for meetings as well.

#4214 Performance3 branch and reporting branch changes

Posted by Jason on 13 March 2013 - 10:14 PM

Performance3 Branch

I have merged performance3 into default.  RedBeanModel now extends BeanModel.  You can now call things like Opportunity::isAnAttribute statically for example.  Look at BeanModel for more static method calls.  This is helpful because now you don't have to always new-up a model if you are just looking for some information about an attribute or something else on that class.

Reporting Branch

Very shortly, hopefully tomorrow, I will be merging reporting to default.  There is some new functionality around relations support for model metadata.

In Account.php for example:

 'industry'         => array(RedBeanModel::HAS_ONE,              'OwnedCustomField', RedBeanModel::OWNED),

'industry'         => array(RedBeanModel::HAS_ONE,              'OwnedCustomField', RedBeanModel::OWNED,  RedBeanModel::LINK_TYPE_SPECIFIC, 'industry'),
There is now support for the link name.  This means you can have 2 relations to the same class, that can have different link names.  The upgrade script for 1.5 will support existing model relations. If you are doing any custom models, then you will need to deal with this using CustomManagement.

#3507 Get Stock Market quotes and charts for Accounts

Posted by Jason on 26 January 2013 - 10:15 PM

That would be great if you wrote an extension for it.  Are you thinking of showing that information in a portlet that can go on the home page?

Currently you can use Zurmo's web API to push data from another site into Zurmo.
