Hi Oliver,

 

Thanks for that - this seems to deal with user to user.  I was thinking along the lines of collecting email from an email account.

 

So I send an email to one of the contacts in Zurmo - the contact replies - this is then entered into the Zurmo email system.  There are quite a few CRMs out there that make this simple - you have an email screen that you can attach emails to contacts with ease.  I suspect this level of functionality is beyond Zurmo.

Am I to understand, by simply restoring a backed up database - it will just work with my Zurmo installation? Would I be restoring this into my existing installation's database?

Worked this out.

 

Using the advanced search (also able to save the search for re-use) does the job.

Another example - quite ridiculous.
 
Fields are mapped and then ALL are skipped after analysis - really?
 
I am not sure how Zurmo expects punters to pay when, clearly it is still riddled with import / export issues.

So, another thing i have no chance of getting to work.  I have been totally unsuccessful in getting jobs to run.  followed all the threads here - told i have them setup.  Of course they don't run.

 

So i also have no chance of getting email to work - currently failing with:

 

Message failed to send
Error Code: 0
Error Message: Expected response code 220 but got code "", with message "+OK Server ready director22.mail.iad3a.rsapps.net

 

Extremely disappointed with recurring gotcha - basic stuff that should work.
