Maybe I'm the only one using dates in reports but to dynamically have the options like "field before [[TODAY]]" or similar would save a lot of time with default values for my users. Even a field of "last X days" where you dynamically can add your own instead of 7 or 30 would be helpful.

 

Am I alone in actually using date fields in reports? :)

Worked wonders on my exports.
 
Also for a shared host edit in /app/protected/modules/export/ExportModule.php these 3 variables:

 public static $asynchronousThreshold = 1000;

 public static $asynchronousPageSize  = 500;

 public static $asynchronousMaximumModelsToProcess = 2500;

 

First one is "how many records before background export".

The last one is maybe more important as it defines how many records to process in each batch. It looks like you never finish a batch, so lower this value to 250 or something as a start and work your way up.

 

On a shared environment I'd lower all of these values + the background process is single threaded so you won't gain anything by adding vCPU's either.

I am glad that not only me is facing the same issue regards tasks to remind about calls. If we could get the instructions on the best possible way of using this feature - that would be great.

 

So, did you reach any consensus regarding how to handle calls? I'm curious on how to handle them myself...
