Disable Delete

22 March 2014 - 02:40 AM

Just trucking along with the product, I do have a little bit of an issue though. My end users are computer dumb, under no circumstance should they ever delete a record, be it a lead, contact, op, account, etc...

It doesnt seem that the product out of the box can allow edit of the record but prohibit delete. However what about a custom modification to some of the php files? Even if delete is still there but doesnt do anything unless username = "admin" would be fine. I dont mind redoing that code each time the product upgrades. Its a huge road block to getting the business to adopt the platform.

Just from some quick poking around it seems the code would need to be changed here?

DeleteButtonActionElement.php

DeleteLinkActionElement.php

BTW I dont need it to be 100% I just need it crippled for all users that are not "admin" on the list, edit, and details views. Oh and that bulk delete button needs to be crippled too, that things is insanely dangerous in the hands of my users.

Thanks a ton for the help! Loving the product so far.

LDAP Works now what?

21 March 2014 - 08:34 PM

I was able to stand up a new instance and get LDAP working with my Active Directory. However I am at a loss as to what to do next. I have also set "Turn on LDAP" but now I am scratching my head on whats next. My AD users didnt populate in Users. There is no import from LDAP for users, and trying to logon with my AD creds doesnt seem to work. The one thing is that if I logon with DOMAIN\Username it sits there thinking about it for a long time.

Anyways its just not documented what the ldap integration is for or how to actual use it. Can someone shed some light on this?

Windows IIS Install PHP Error on Configuration

21 March 2014 - 06:02 PM

Hey there, very excited by the idea of using Zurmo for my customers needs. I wanted to do an on prem installation because the idea of direct SQL access is fantastic.

I just took a stab at installing on a Windows 2012 R2 Server. I followed all the directions listed in the documentation. But when I go to:

  http://localhost/zurmo/app/index.php

I get this error:

Warning: include(SecurableModule.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\zurmo\yii\framework\YiiBase.php on line 421

Warning: include(): Failed opening 'SecurableModule.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\zurmo\app\protected\extensions\phaActiveColumn
;C:\inetpub\wwwroot\zurmo\app\protected\modules\api\tests\unit\forms
;C:\inetpub\wwwroot\zurmo\app\protected\modules\api\tests\unit\models
;C:\php\pear') in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\zurmo\yii\framework\YiiBase.php on line 421

Fatal error: Class 'SecurableModule' not found in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\zurmo\app\protected\modules\zurmo\ZurmoModule.php on line 38

The only other thing worth mentioning is that I skipped MemCache step. I am hoping its not required and the reason its not working.

I have made sure that the entire c:\inetput\wwwroot\zurmo directory has full read/write to everyone, and system. I also setup an app pool with no managed code and made that app pool run as local system to give Zurmo full access to everything.

Anything anyone can think of for me to try next?
