We found most of the settings we needed to change in the CSS or in Themes.   There are a couple of hard coded logo instances
( like /protected/modules/zurmo/views/HeaderLinksView.php ) that are probably bad form, and should be variablized as part of config in future releases.  Or better yet.. the renderContents() method should use YII to simply render a tokenized html templat that lives in /app/themes/

People should be able to customize the app's visual appearance without ever touching core, or overwriting files etc.

Thanks!... I had managed to figure it out by studying the structure on a localhost install of the superadmin .  I did have to go in and reset the two groups I'd created.

In Topic: XML or jason Lead Capture API

I saw the Drupal project.  That is the approach we have decided to take if you don't already have something.  Simply use the testing code for guidance, and the API.

What we are looking at is writing an xml API (requiring curl) that can take submissions from specific sites / IP's and uri's, look for a validation key on the client server, prosess the information into zurmo server side.   We need control of who can hit the API .plus be able to do flood control etc in case a web form is hijacked or compromised.

We'll submit this thing to the communty once its done.

We have a CMS we've fleshed out (http://www.xobase.com) that we are retooling in Yii.   What we want to do is integrate the user / role / model of Yii / Zurmo into it.  So we can use zurmo for not only lead generation but tracking sales from the ecom and subscription modules in the CMS, maintain single sign / authentication, and run them concurrently on the same sites from the same framework.

Yes, or allow say a manager to allocate tasks to individuals, or groups that are under them

Product modeling is a very very complicated process and issue.  Far beyond the scope of most CRM's.  What you'll end up with is a very light weight product module that then requires a huge amount of re-factoring in Zurmo to make useful for even small to medium sized companies. Forget large enterprises.

We are looking at zurmo as a base for CRM, we already have a Yii based CMS in progress, and as part of the CMS we have a enterprise level product modeling plugin,   Our big challenge will be to marry the rules we need for roles and authentication for the CMS, Zurmo CRM and Ecom B2B.
