#4433 Saving Metadata - canSaveMetadata() - exception 'NotSupportedException'

Posted by Ivica on 28 March 2013 - 06:46 AM

1. I don't have to read/check in details, but I think your comments are fine, except that metadata for abstract classes can't be saved.

so if you want to change this, you can change it in child class, like it is done for Task model for example.

2. in database in global_metadata table

3. Activity is abstract class, and you can't allow this model to save metadata.

4.

RedBeanModelsCache

RedBeansCache
PermissionsCache
RightsCache
PoliciesCache
GeneralCache
BeanModelCache

6. If you append clearCache to url, it just clear all caches:

ForgetAllCacheUtil::forgetAllCaches();

However if you clear global metadata table you will delete changed metadata objects(for example if you added some field via designer tool to accounts, this new field will be deleted when you delete all data from global_metadata table).

Runtime folder can contain some data, for example from HTMLPurifier and application logs

There is also asset folder, which contain assets(images, javascript code...), so you should delete it, when you upgrade Zurmo, or change some javascript code.

#3869 Job manager installation / cron failure error

Posted by Ivica on 18 February 2013 - 10:33 AM

This is fixed in bleeding version of Zurmo, and we plan to tag new stable version of Zurmo this week, so after upgrade, you will be able to execute EmailArchiving job.

#3603 TestOutboundEmail - Job completed with errors, ProcessOutboundEmail stuck wit...

Can you check if you have some special characters in email address, or maybe some spaces at the end or begging of email address.

#3403 Installation issues

Posted by Ivica on 21 January 2013 - 09:46 AM

I suggest you to check app/protected/config/perInstance.php, and next two lines:

$instanceConfig['components']['request']['hostInfo']         = 'http://zurmo.local';
$instanceConfig['components']['request']['scriptUrl']         = '/app/index.php';

I think that you might need to modify those variables, if you made some modifications after installation.

I can't help you with ngix server configuration, because we do not support it officially(however you might be able to run Zurmo on ngix web server).

#3104 Upgrade 0.7.7 to Release 1.0,throw a fatal error

Posted by Ivica on 25 December 2012 - 05:25 AM

You can not use ZurmoUpgrade_0.8.00-0.8.50 to upgrade 0.7.70 version, but you need to upgrade first to 0.8.00 manually, and then to use those upgraders.

There is one very similiar post, and you can follow instructions from it:

#2856 Oppotunity field

Posted by Ivica on 05 December 2012 - 02:08 PM

You can mark that field nonrequired imn metadata, and hide it from layout. Don't forget to run updateSchema command line command.
But don't remove field directly from database, that will not work.

#2738 Problem installing Zurmo in Web UI

Posted by Ivica on 22 November 2012 - 01:25 PM

Well, I mean that you can review manually your setting, for example to check if log_bin is turned on or not and similar, or you can go service by service(for example: InstallUtil::checkDatabaseLogBinValue), and see mysql commands that we used to check service and execute them, and compare results with required one.

Another way is to comment one by one line in getAdditionalServicesToCheck function, and find out which one is problematic.

#2720 How to update customfielddata without reinstall?

Posted by Ivica on 21 November 2012 - 01:03 PM

one more can i delete account created by super user ??? if yes then from where ?

If you are logged as super user, and oppen account details page, there is dropbox, with option to delete account.
Also you can delete account on accounts list page, select accounts that you want to delete and click on Delete button.

#2680 My installation experience, room for improvement

Posted by Ivica on 19 November 2012 - 06:38 AM

We will try to review and improve installation process before Zurmo GA release(beginning of December).

Now about your error, I suggested to turn on debuging in config/debug.php file, and send us more error details(Please note that you will need to clearCache, when you turn on debug, by appending query ?clearCache=1 to url that you try to access, only first time after debug is switched to on, to avoid model checking error).

#2623 Installation on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS

Posted by Ivica on 16 November 2012 - 08:36 AM

I think I know what can be issue, can you try to execute this code on your server(php filename.php), and reply here with output:
<?php

class ExampleSuperClass
{
    private $foo;
    static protected $bar;

    private function foo()
    {
    }

    public function propertyFooExists()
    {
	    return property_exists($this, 'foo');
    }

}

class ExampleSubClass extends ExampleSuperClass
{
    public function methodExists()
    {
	    return method_exists($this, 'foo');
    }

    public function propertyBarExists()
    {
	    return property_exists($this, 'bar');
    }
}

$example = new ExampleSubClass();
var_dump($example->methodExists());
var_dump($example->propertyFooExists());
var_dump($example->propertyBarExists());
?>

#2598 TimeZone Error

I think that you have issue with PDO amd PDO MySql PHP extensions, check with phpinfo command.

#2580 Cron Job and Email Sending Issues

Posted by Ivica on 13 November 2012 - 07:51 AM

I would suggest you to go to commands folder, and then to execute zurmoc commands, for example:
cd /home/nemondo/public_html/crm/app/protected/commands/
./zurmoc jobManager super ClearSentNotificationsEmail

I saw that you used root user to run cronjobs, I think it might cause some issue with file permissions, so I suggest you to run cronjobs as regular user(not sure if 'nemodo' is user on system, or just home folder for another username).

#2555 Cron Job and Email Sending Issues

You didn't enter correct IMAP/SMTP settings, maybe not correct port, or username/passwords.
Once SMTP/IMAP tests pass, you can set cronjob.

#2379 Installing Zurmo on Dreamhost

Posted by Ivica on 19 October 2012 - 11:10 AM

I don't think you will be able to install Zurmo on shared hosting, because Zurmo specific requirements for Mysql settings:

#2258 Nginx+php-fpm requirements fail

Posted by Ivica on 08 October 2012 - 12:46 PM

You can comment required service which you think you don't need or do not want to be checked in CheckServicesUtil.php file, although we do not recommend this, especially for production server, because all our unit tests are run with all required services, so in this case I suggest you to run unit tests on your server.
