How to place a field in the Detail view only?

To place a field in the detail view only, go to Admin–>Designer–>[Module Name]–>Layouts–>Detail and Edit View.

Place the field into the layout. Then, click the wrench edit tool:  

Check off the checkbox ‘Detail view only’, then click Save. Your field will now only appear in the Detail view.
